"What is the best way to see the Northern Lights?"

I don´t know how many times I´ve been asked this question so I wanted to share my opinion on this matter, because the answer is pretty simple! just by simply going somewhere out of the city lights! but actually it´s not always as easy that cause you also kinda have to know where it´s best to go each time depending on the cloud forecast and hey there is a website for that! www.vedur.is is a weather forecast site for Iceland and on there they have a very simple to follow northern light forecast for each night!

same one as all the tour operators use so if you have a rental car I suggest you look it up and just drive somewhere your self! I would never recommend you to take a northern light tour with companies unless there is something other then "just seeing the lights" included in it because you can do that on your own not to mention they will put you on a big bus filled with people. The only Northern Light related tours I would recommend is the tours that take you to remote places and/or doing some activity as well as hiking, ATV driving or something in that style! oh and by the way I got one of those tours available for you ! my northern light hunting adventures are a set up where we go out "hunting" for northern lights wether it´s hiking or ATV'ing so you get the experience of doing that with or without the northern lights it´s always gonna be worth it for you! I can not promise northern lights no one can but what I can promise is adventure in Iceland!

These pictures should give you a good idea of what it would look like and I always custom make my adventures to your group and it´s all private groups so no big buses full of people.
